We're partnering with disabilities organizations (non-funding partners) around the state and country who can use CHEER -- the film and other multimedia outreach -- as a tool to raise awareness and to support their own missions, so funding toward the film will have an broad impact -- changing the world one cheer at a time.
WE'RE PROUD TO HAVE AS OUR FIRST OUTREACH PARTNERS:
Arc of Bergen & Passaic Counties
Developmental Disabilities Institute
United Cerebral Palsey of New York City
One in six children in America has a developmental disability. While this number continues to rise, the funds to support our most vulnerable citizens are sliding in the opposite direction. CHEER will change attitudes and policies affecting people with developmental disabilities and encourage more acceptance and inclusion. By putting a face on the issue through the struggles and triumphs of the girls you meet in this character-driven film, CHEER will serve as a call to action on a local and national scale to improve the quality of life of the last segregated community in America - the developmentally disabled.
